One of the most annoying things in motoring is getting a nail in a tyre.

I've done so many tyre repairs, you wouldn't believe what i've pulled out of some tyres, nails, screws, glass, sharp stones i've even removed a house key  from a tyre, there a so many foreign objects on the road you never know when you might get a puncture.

If you have noticed a nail in your tyre or your tyre keeps loosing pressure then don't put getting it repaired off.

Don't keep running a tyre flat and then keep pumping  it back up, when a tyre is flat and you drive on it, the inside of the tyre can be severely damaged, although it may look fine on the outside, the inside of the tyre could be shredded, if this is the case the tyre can't be repaired and if you keep driving on the tyre it could blow out. 

Punctures can be dangerous and can cause accidents, from as little as £15.00 you can get a puncture repaired and the repair will last the life of the tyre.

BSAU159f 1997" means the British Standard Automobile Series: "Specification for Repairs to tyres for motor vehicles used on the public highway

There are certain Guidelines to follow when a puncture is done

The nail or Object must be within a certain area of the tyre for it to be repairable, see picture below

The area in the red is not repairable, any slits or cuts in the sidewall the tyre would need to be replaced.
